As the rain started to pour in NYC yesterday, David and I packed up our bags on our way out of town bound for home. Anytime you are dealing with any sort of weather near JFK Airport, you run the risk not only of having your flight delayed … you also run the risk having your entire flight cancelled. Thankfully, despite the somewhat heavy rain, we not only managed to NOT be delayed … but we even left on time. The only unfortunate thing about our having to leave NYC yesterday was that we missed celebrating with our friends Shane and Jason … because they got engaged to be married last night!

While we were winging our way home, Shane got down on one knee and proposed to Jason. Shane also managed to get his marriage proposal up on a LCD screen in Times Square!

Shane and Jason have been talking marriage for some time now and it looks like the time was perfect for them to take the plunge. I hope you’ll all join me in wishing these two much love and many congrats as they forge their new life together :)

And so … David and I are home at last. The coming week will be semi-quiet … but we’ve got a bizzy weekend ahead. More on that later … for now, Happy Monday!!
