Arts and Entertainment:Music from EzineArticles.com

What was it about rockabilly music that held such strong appeal to the youth of the 1950s? Why was the music so powerful and why did it become such a defining force in American culture and then worldwide culture? And how has the music's appeal evolved over time? What makes modern fans love the music as much as--if not more--than the fans of the 1950s. I'm not sure those are questions that can truly be answered, but I'm willing to try!

EVH Guitar Review

We have about thirty years of history behind us in terms the beginnings of what we know in this genre. Before the seventies we sang, in our churches, mostly hymns. Of course hymns in and of themselves are beautiful but it is nice to have the diversity that we have today. This diversity is found in our contemporary praise and worship songs.

Travel Guitar Reviews

I decided to write this series of articles, in response to years of listening to my musician friend's regale me with tails of woe, about "Bad Sound Experiences." BSE if you will. Most often, these BSE's had a common identifiable trait (New or inexperienced sound tech) and almost all were related to on stage monitor mixes. These unfortunate experiences made playing their music un-fun and un-inspiring. Since these are the two reasons most of my friends play music... I thought I'd try to help!

Tom Hanks Is A Dancing Fool (VIDEO)

Hanks stopped by a Univision studio this week to lend a hand with the weather, and for whatever the reason, the video of his goofy dance has gone viral. Okay, so I’m just as puzzled as you are about why the heck he would be at a Spanish language television studio in the first place. Sure, he’s out plugging his new film, but it’s just an odd combination. What’s even better is that anyone who has lived in the US for any period of time can at least spout off a few Spanish phrases, yet he acts completely oblivious when they start talking to him. It’s pretty funny stuff. After a few awkward moments, the party makes its way over to the green screen for a little weather presentation with meteorologist Chiquinquira Delgado. That’s when Tom Hanks the entertainer kicks in. Rather than stand there looking like a fool, he decides it’s time to bust out a goofy, Latin-themed dance, which was only a tad offensive. He manages to get the weather girl to join in for a bit, and it’s pretty clear not much actual reporting takes place. It’s pretty funny stuff, and I suppose it’s worth checking out [...]

Endgame By Rise Against

Weezer has held my interest for many years now, and what keeps me coming back is their consistency. Their debut album Weezer (the "Blue" album) will always have a place in my heart as one of the few CDs I will never tire of. Sixteen years and eight CDs later, the band still has it, with their latest album Hurley.
